a couple weeks back i was headed to the post office that isnt even 3 miles from home and when i went to 4th i just heard loud metal dragging so i bucked a u-turn and went back home and parked it.

took my trans out to find out i sheered 2 teeth on my 4th straight off.





i just graduated from uti and did the nissan and infiniti program as well so i have enough faith in being able to fix this my self. first off its a tre built 6speed but since i JUST graduated (march 6th) and i've been waiting on my tools which finally got here 2 days ago (ordered them on feb 23rd, stupid snap on takes forever) i havent gotten a job yet. so im extremely on a budget to get this done. im told since 2 teeth off 4th came straight off that i should highly reconsider sending it back to tre and have them see if anything is salvageable but i really cant afford that.

what i want to do is replace the 4th gear, all syncho's and bearings in the transmission but i dont know any of the part numbers. its an 05 evo8 MR if anyone can help me with that, it would be greatly appreciated.

if the price mitsu quotes me is comparable to just sending it up to tre then ill just do that.

what do you guys think?

 

Sorry bro if it was a 5 speed I could hook you up with all the part numbers but being a 6 speed I've got nothing. However I can direct you to someone who might be able to help you.

817-596-8074 ask for Keith. Tell him what you're trying to do. He will fax you parts diagram of the MR tranny, you circle the parts you need and fax it back. He will fax you back a parts listing with part numbers if you ask for them and price. BTW his prices are the best on the net. Much less than TRE would charge or any mitsu dealer.

I just rebuilt my EVO 5 speed tranny and got my parts from this guy.
