The ACD is a clutch, the t-case has it's own fill and drain plug. They are also different fluids.

it looks like the wrong fluid is in that reservoir. It should be red. Unless there's a different colored auto tranny fluid. As said above, tcase and acd fluid are totally different.

Wow... I think that Biggie's right. If I were you, I'd go to the dealer and get them to flush that out and put the red dyna queen fluid in. Also, make sure that banjo bolt is tight!

The fluid for the acd is auto tranny fluid. What fluid exactly is on the reservoir cap.

Yes I know they have differant fluids, but the point I was trying to make that if the t-case had been out of the car they would of had to rebleed the ACD. The ACD controls clutches inside of the t-case. So YES if he had a transfer case problem prior to him buying the car that could of been his problem.

Gotcha... I'd just check the banjo bolt. The car was fine for the first couple days... then it began leaking fluid that lowered the level in the ACD reservior. Those bolts tend to back out, so I'd just check it on out. Keep in mind he found fluid on the floor. That would be entirely independent of needing to bleed anything. Seems like a leak to me... but I've been known to be wrong before.

wait... I reread the first post. If the fluid is leaking from the reservoir itself, Scottatyamaha is right you've probably got a bleed problem. Sorry for the confusion, I thought the level was way low, not high.

We do not recall this Evo. Who did you buy this car from?

We did not review or work on the car. A prospective buyer wanted the car dynoed and we did a little tuning on the car.

TTP-Engineering did no mechanical work or review of the car whatsoever outside of the dynotime and mild tuning to the ECU.

Transworld Auto where you bought the car claimed to have done all of the fluid service on the car.

ok cool,

i took the car to mitsu today, they said that car was mixing the transmission fluid with the transfer box fluid and thats why it was coming out black instead of the pink it's suppose to be. so they are replacing my transfer box(under warranty thank god) and i should have the car back by monday or friday.
