Quick question...twin disc clutch engagement

Hey guys, whenever I installed my Exedy stage 2 I noticed that the Evo is a bit quarky when taking off. Like it seems like you practically have to ride the clutch till 1500 to 1700 rpm to get it to take off without makeing seem like the cars gonna start to rumble like you don't know how to drive stick. I've been driving standard for years and I've never had this type of encounter. I feel likea noob now LOL!!!
Is it normal for the clutch to be a bit quarky taking off in first. The car shakes alot sometimes. Just wondering......

Well, an Exedy Stg2 is not a twin disc. It's a 3 puck cerametallic sprung hub clutch. I'm guessing it's got some chatter. Smooth engagement is not a characteristic of a puck style clutch.

If you actually have a twin disc (stg4 I think), then it should be relatively smooth. Takes some getting used to but engagement is decent with those clutches. Noise and price are the downsides.
