heli-coil size for head

I'm hoping someone can help me out but i need to find out the heli-coil size for an exhaust manifold stud. When I was removing my exhaust manifold one of the studs back out with it. Along with the stud coming out the actual threads peeled out with it as well. I did a search but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

Your best bet is to take the actual head stud up to a auto parts store, match the threads, and buy the appropriate Helicoil set labeled for that thread size. I've done that several times for different projects in the past without issue.

Be very careful when you drill the head in order to tap the hole for the helicoil.

Good luck!
