***please help asap evo sounds like dying turkey when boostin!!!*** need to drive car

hey guys just got me 03 evo so I do not know that much about them yet.

hre is the deal the car was running great then I went for a drive today and about 5 min into the drive i noticed the car felt much slower... then I went to accelerate and when it started to boost it sounds like a dying turkey or like someone blowing air through a ballon that has popped like the screeching kind of screaming sound.

I checked the intercooler hoses but didnt really notice anything off.

please help ASAP thanks!

no CEL which seemed weird as well. Really seems like some kind of a hose leak. I am going to tighten them all see if it makes a difference. anything else you can think of?

I tightened all the IC hoses. no luck. It sounds more like a ballon filling with air it sqeels. but if I accelerate past 5000 it goes away or I can t hear it anymore. Noticable decrease in performance as well.

Take off your intake tube and check the turbo for play.

guys I figured it out... No way anyone would have figured this out by my description but basically the owner before me put a CAI on the car and must have taken a vac hose off the top IC pipe and had put a piece of tape there to hold pressure. Well I didn't see it because it was underneath but that was what was causing the noise. Now i just need a diagram of someones engine bay that has all of the hose hooked up properly so I can fix mine!

but thanks the car runs great again.
