HELP ASAP with M3 CAMs
ok so i have an issue...
my friend just installed m3 cams on his evo...
now when i try to start the car i hear a ticking sound from the passenger side of the car... and it wont crank... well at least he's scared to hold the key on for too long because of the ticking...
he does have a supertech valvetrain on the car... stock ecu, stock turbo...
ANY help would be appreciated... he got fuel and spark and timing is on perfect...

I'd say check the timing again and make sure the cam postiton sensor wasnt put in upside down. as for the ticking did you bleed the lifters before the install? cuz that usually causes it
well the ticking is proly from the lifters filling back up with oil. Mine ticked for 5 minutes and then it was fine, lifters take a few minutes to fill back up if you've bled them.

there's like a cupwasher shaped piece that goes in the other side of the exhaust cam, it can be put in upside down. i did the same thing and my car wouldn't start till i flipped it.

You did make sure to ground the cam position sensor right? Pull the fuel rail to see if the injectors are spraying (be sure to hold them in). As for the tick, its really loud at first but will go away if the lifters were bleed.
