hey guys would you mind watchign these youtube clips and let me know if my diverter valve sounds like it is working right want to make sure im not messing up my turbo with compressor surge or sometihng. stock diverter valve.

bought the car used want to make sure it is hooked up right and runing properly

it is an 03 evo 95k miles and it has a k&n cone filter

The first video you can really hear the sound when i let off the throtlle if that is normal than I am all this car is FAST

that is not good for the turbo....so do what is said above...

here are two pics guys can you explain how to reverse it or is it just as simple as putting the ends in the opposite sides

can i still use it with the vac nipple off or do i need a new one?

ya defiantly replace that thing! get a ix dv, try and find a user on here selling one shouldn't be more than 80 to 100 bucks they hold boost great and give little to no drive-ability issues, and are metal not plastic! If you dont want to try and find an ix dv, i have that plastic dv and would gladdly send it to you 25 bucks shipped!

 

guys thanks for all the help I did a temporary ghetto fix so i can drive the car for the weekend. basically used expoxy to add a nipple to get the vac line to attach. What a difference just a nice clean woosh no more compressor surge.

i ordered a IX DV too can t wait to get it !

That sucks......yeah get that replaced asap......I'd send you mine off my old VIII (still like new)for free but I'm deployed to the desert right now.
