Time for rebuild????

Well drove my 04 5 speed through some water that was pretty deep yesterday, and now the tranny is hard as heck to get into gear and there is a loud *** whine.

Do you think this means time to rebuild the tranny and T-case?

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Not TC or trans - should more like you got water in your clutch. NEVER drive in deep water. The TC and trans are closed systems (fluid just cant get in or out). But the clutch has view ports that can allow water in/out.

It should dry up and go back to normal if it was just water. Now if mud and not water got in there - you will have to replace or take out the clutch.
