yes it does fit with the stock upper radiator retainers. i just made different ones because i need to pull the radiator closer to the front of the car due to the dual dump tubes and large turbo

i never use the the zip ties. in my opinion thats ghetto and it damages and bends the fins on the fadiator. A stock fan will bolt right up to this radiator but the stock fan will not fit with my turbo setup. I'm using a spal 12 inch slim puller fan and i made custom mounts with a few basic brackets.
