i have had this problem for about 3 months now, when car is at idle there is some wierd noise coming from the drive belt side... i took my evo 9 to a shop and they informed me that it was my water pump making that noise, so i bought a new water pumpo and had them install it for me. however, the noise is stil there

its sounds like something is rubbing, i think?

the car runs absolutly fine with no problem but this noise is getting to me already, ITS SO ANNOYING

help me out guys

 

1. return that water pump and have them refund your money + labor since that was not the problem.

2. when you say "rubbing", do u mean it sounds like metal grinding?

3. does it ONLY make the sound while idling? and does it go away upon acceleration
