aem wideband at 14.8 currently

i got my mapeformance o2 dump pipe a while back and had a wideband bung welded on to it... my old sensor was giving me weird reading..it would get stuck at 13:1 afr no matter what so i thought it be a crapped out sensor...so i replaced the sensor with a new sensor and now the wideband is reading 14.8 at idle but normally when i give it gas at idle..the reading changes...but it would stay at 14.8 afr........i haven't been able to drive the car or put any load on the car yet cause my car is currently cornered in so i have no way of driving it out.......could it be i got a bad new wideband sensor? the only thing that changed since last setup was the location of the o2 bung and nothing else...once i can get my other cars out of the way..i'll drive it and update this thread...can someone fill me what else could have went wrong in the mean time?

maybe the gauge itself is toast.

if its sitting a 14.8, thats what mine did when i removed sensor, to replace it. Maybe you have a busted wire somewhere in the gauges harness, or the connector isnt snapped together all the way.

if its reading --- at idle chances are you have an exhaust leak. check your o2 housing and downpipe connection.

Honestly, get rid of the AEM and get a Innovate LC-1 or LM-1. The AEM is trash(no offense to you). Not being able to recalibrate any WB02S is a huge design flaw. I'm not saying that's what your problem is, though. Still, you would be doing yourself a HUGE favor by trashing that thing.

AEM generally makes decent ****, but i have never been a fan of anything they make that wasn't a ECU.

I've never, ever had a problem with the AEM gauges...but maybe its just me.

When you let off the gas and it reads -- that is normal. Mine does that as well. Don't engines run super lean decel as you are off the throttle, but the RPMs are kept up due to the transmission being in gear.

If you are idling and it reads -- there is a problem. Mine still read fine with exhaust leaks behind the o2 sensor.

If this is the o2 dump that only opens at full boost, then thats why it doesn't read because normally that dump is closed off when you are not at full boost. You need to install the bung where exhaust gases normally flow.

its hard to explain...the gauge sometimes read and sometimes doesn't...i drove up to chicago from southbend...good 125miles...it didn't read at all until 50miles into the drive.....then at cruise it would sometimes show 14.7-15.3 then would stay at --- for a long time...the only other time it would read would be WOT....it doesn't read whatsoever at cold start either...i went through 2 sensors already but never had this problem until i went to open dump... the o2 bung is still welded at the downpipe...just moved up few inches up.... maybe someone running open dump can chime in or have this issue? ...it seems to be a intermitten problem........

i know what you are talking about...that is how my gauge read before...it goes lean at decel to around 14.7 on my car but now it just goes to --- and stays there until i give it gas

only thing i could suggest is check all your connections and make sure its properly connected. check your ground wire as well.

also now i can't go pass 21 psi...i have High pressure wastegate actuator minimum 21psi...it wont go over 21psi no matter how much i raise the set boost, gain % ect on my greddy profec b II...but it does hold 21psi solid to redline...i ran 23psi with my tune before...i would assume if there is leak somewhere...it wouldn't hold boost this good...
