Flywheel/Clutch Inspection Question
Flywheel/Clutch Inspection Question
Ok, I know for a fact through the inspection window on the bottom of the tranny that I have an ACT Clutch. Not sure if it is the street clutch or race clutch, and what stage. I can tell you that several car enthusiast I know that drag, or autocross think it is a stage two race clutch. Or a high yeilding clamp force clutch that can hold a lot of power, ..."that pedal is a monstor to push", or ..."wow, what spring rate is in your clutch, that thing takes some pressure to disengage, mor so than my Centerforce dual friction..." and so on.
So my question is, I think I also have a lightened fly in there as well, judging by the rev action I have, and what users on this board are suggesting.
The million dollar question is this:
Any way to tell with out pulling the entire tranny or gear box out...
Is there a way to identify them utilizing the tell tell window we have?
Edit: Let me restate, I am pretty sure I have an ACT clutch, color is yellow, and I think it has a little print on the yellowish area. It is a circular clutch and not a star pattern.
Is there any way to tell from markings on the fly, what it is, of what you can see of it. I have only looked in the window or removable plug once, and that was in the care of a mitsu dealer checking on the clutch chatter, that all of us hear with aftermarket clutches. It was sold to me stating it had an aftermarket heavy duty clutch, but nothing on flywheel info, and I didn't ask them at the time...moron, yes. Either way, was hoping there was a secret method without dropping something large and requireing a few jackstands if not a lift.
Thanks in advance.
