Like others have said, stay away from VTA if you want a perfect tune. They cause you to run rich. I myself have a pretty much bone stock car, so the HKS BOV is just there for the sound. It messes up the stock map though.

Have people not come to noitce that twin vent BOV were made for this exact reason and they've been out for 9834798345 years? Loud "psssh" with all the benifits of still recirculating.

I have an HKS SSQV set to VTA and though it's probably hurting more than it's helping, it sounds SO sexy =P

If you're using your maf then don't VTA, only do it when you recirculate.

im going with tial. my friend has the hks ssqv and has no problems with idle or it effecting daily driveability. i personally love the tial with the 12 psi spring. no surge, no boost leaks, just an all around good bov. recirculating is always going to be better though. but if you want a bov just because you like the sound, greddy, hks, tial, are the best ones. hks and tial being top. dont go with turbo xs, im just going to say from experience i hated it. i had mad boost leak.

Yeah I've wondered about those. But they are still a compromise. They still have to let some of the air out to make the squawk. I imagine they're adjustable too but still not as good as a full recirculating valve.

i went back on got my metal Evo X diverter valve. Yey!
Im going to steal some technology from the Tesla Roadster and make a recorded sound of a TurboXS venting. So every time i shift, it will play the sound!!

The Tesla I think lets u play the neigne noise of a V8 or V10. You can choose what sounds. I think.

I'll save you some money and let you know they already have a fake rice box BOV simulator. I bet it sounds awsome. So unless your local Pull-A-Part has a Tesla Roadster in it, you might want to check it out.

I'm acutally looking for a BOV also. I've done tons of research. I'm leaning toward the HKS one, but i don't really want the sound. If i do go that route, I'll throw on the purple insert so it won't be that loud. I just need a BOV that will hold 26psi fine. I also heard, cause I haven't seen it anywhere that the HKS SSQV will start leaking at 27lbs. Can anyone confirm that?
