It's the clutch. While your tach is going up and the speedometer is going up it's not going up as fast as it should. The only way the tach can drop without the car changing speeds is if the clutch is slipping.

idk if this guy explained it better than myself but no one on that thread seems to be blaming it on a clutch

That's because the people in the two threads you linked have different problems. Neither one of them have the tach dropping 500 RPM without the car slowing down.

actually I just got a pm from the guy with the x that it was happening to and he said that the load values were set too low so there's my answer! Sorry buddy, as much as ur dying for my clutch to go out, I guess it isn't the clutch afterall haha. Did something happen in your driving past that's causing you post traumatic clutch syndrome?next time u hear the smallest noise while driving ur car, chances are it isn't your clutch man!

So you think your hitting boost cut now? Did your car hit boost cut before your clutch started slipping?

I seem to have the same issue! RPMs are dropping when I step on it on 3rd, 4th or 5th gear while I'm cruising and after 1 sec continue to accelerate. Does not seems to be fuel cut as the car is not stopping, it just delays the acceleration.

Is it confirmed that the issue is caused by the clutch?

Have in mind that the car is bone stock GSR.

Yes, Click on the link in the post before yours...the OP states he is in need of a clutch.
Just like everyone in this thread had originally said back in 2009.

Bend over and get ready to hike the wallet like cfdfireman1 said...LOL

Keep in mind you are bumping a 5+ year old thread....You might want to start your own thread or post in a more recent clutch related thread and post your question there.
