Need help with LICP for FP Green setup on 03 Evo..

Alright guys,

I just installed my FP Green setup on my 03 Evo 8. I also bought the install kit from FP with the race pipe for my installation.

I have an issue with the FP race j-pipe, and my Greddy LICP.

The turbo and everything bolted on to the car fine, (along with the race pipe.) All of that is on, and good to go. However, the racepipe is maybe 2 inches or so away from my Greddy LICP.

Does anyone have any clue what LICP will fit with the FP race pipe, and my Greddy frontmount?

Maybe a Buschur Race LICP??

I'm stuck here, and this is all that is holding me from starting my car up.

If anyone has any idea, or can tell me what kind of setup they are running with their car, I would greatly appreciate it.

Mods are in my sig btw.

Thanks in advance guys, I know someone out there knows the solution to this.

I had this problem after my install as well. Good thing I'm a pipewelder with a state of the art shop at my disposal. I had to fab a piece of pipe and weld it to the compressor outlet pipe and weld a new bead so the silicone coupling had something to bite when clamped. Oh yeah I also had to weld a nipple on the compressor outlet pipe for my boost controller. Why it didn't come with the nipple is beyond me.

Unfortunately, I am not a pipewelder, nor do I have a mandrel bender.

I will probably just wind up having to take my Greddy LICP to an exhaust shop and get them to put a 180 bend in it for me.

And if that doesn't work, just get them to bend me a nice 180 degree piece of aluminum pipe, then I can cut it to my length that I need.

I think your idea is the best idea. It's basically the same thing KenMasters said.

I used the FP Race pipe and the second part of the Greddy LICP with my Green. By second part I mean the part that has the 180deg bend in it.

I ran that for a while then eventually went back with a stock Evo9 j-pipe and a Nisei LICP.
