Idle Problems

Well my car was sitting for like 4 days where i didnt turn it on. When i turned it on the ***** wouldnt idle. I mean it would hover at 200 or 300 for like a second or two then die. when i kept the car going by keeping the the rpms up, if i let off the gas like when i shifted if i didnt shift quick enough it would die. When i got on it went striaght to 17 lbs no prob ran fine. I think it might be the fuel pump but i am not sure. ne help would be good.

My mods are tb exhaust
UIC
Ported Mani
Ebay o2
MBC
forged BOV
Walboro 255

i have a nasty xhaust leak right at the 02 to DP if that has nething to do with it

I would check your IAC by removing the three bolts holding it in place and taking it out with the plug still connected and looking at it while turning the ignition on and off to see if it actuates.

i beleive its located on the throttle body. possibly your lifters bled down and just needed time to fill back up with oil. the IACV is a stepper motor so its kinda hard to see it move, you have to look closely

i would say the same. also is your foged bof vta or recirclulated. My buddy was vta'ing on his evo eight, and had major idle issues. it could be a number of things. if the car is still under warranty, id get it checked out.

sorry for the delay

next step is going to be price it out and then check voltages after i spray it with some carb cleaner since we got 30 inches of rain in a week and see if maybe the sensors just shorted out!
