Post Help! Hesitation on throttle

Hey guys, I started my car up today and I have been noticing for about a week or so that I there is some strange clicking noise like something is loose coming from around or in the vicinity of the intake manifold. After the car warms up the sound goes away though. Any ideas? But what has really wierd was when I gave the car some throttle past 3k and into boost there would be some hesitation for a second and then the revs would shoot up and the car would pull. Could it be a belt might be slipping. I have 39k on the car btw and have been driving alot since I purchased the car a few months back. Any ideas or input is greatly appreciated. thanks

thanks for all the input guys, I believe I am running a bit rich and I can smell fuel all the time. I bought the car w/ the follwing mods: tbe w/ test pipe, aem intake, shifter bushings. I will check the egr valve bc i have been driving the car hard lately due to autocross events and what not, so I could see how things could get loose. As far as the whine, I heard that it could be coming from the transfer case? Is this a possibility because it also sounds like something is loose around where all the pulleys are.
