Can the stock clutch handle a couple of 400whp+ dyno pulls?

I'm looking to add a couple of new power mods to my car and then get it retuned and dynoed. I'm also expecting to make over 400whp. Now I'm currently still using the stock clutch. It has been able to sustain the power I'm currently at and has not shown any signs of slipping. Do you think it would be able to handle the additional power and survive a couple of dyno pulls? Would I be wasting my time going on the dyno with it?

I do realize that I need to upgrade my clutch and I intend to do that but I'm trying to get by without having to spend the money on it right away...Thoughts everyone?

I'm on stock clutch, 391whp, about a dozen dyno pulls, two months later I'm still on stock clutch.
replacing the clutch is way overrated.
oh by the way, i always rev match

Depends on how you treated it in the past.

Well I treat my clutch with great care. I want it to last. No needless launching or showing off. Yes I realize this is a moot point when your increasing HP, but I also don't believe in spending money on a new clutch when my current one has been able to put the power down. I was just curious if the thing would grenade on the dyno or something else horrible...

It sounds like you didn't beat the crap out of your clutch up to this point so run it. You also sound like you know the risk. Your torque is getting up there so you may be due. Only you know how many times you launched it or beat on it. If you bought your car used I'd change the clutch. Which is why I am putting one in a a couple weeks.

Drag it, and you'll probly be replacing it sooner than later

It will not last long if you are even moderately rough with the car... but you'll hear it coming. IE: my TOB sounded like it was going to exit the side of the transmission post haste.

If you're gentle, and don't launch, you can limp it along for quite some time. I did for nearly 10,000 miles. But you definitely won't be putting what you could be to the ground either. I changed mine before I got any kind of rpm skipping. But the second the new clutch went in, and you'd just nail it... it would just rip off all 4 and scoot. And the second I did. I kicked myself for not doing the clutch sooner.

You should be ok. It's the torque that will kill it. If you don't do many pulls from down low it should last longer. You won't hit peak torque if you do pulls from 5-7000rpms.
