Intake Chatter/Flutter Problem??

I am expriencing intake chatter noise during light to moderate accelleration and lose boost. Everything is fine under hard accelleration. Is this normal or am I having a problem with my BOV or something else

Please advise.

IF the only change you made was the BOV and then you discovered the problem (It was working fine) then it sounds like your BOV may be opening way early.. It could be the spring pressure in the BOV not being high enough so under boost its opening and barking a bit..

Not sure, My stock DV leaks under boost, but not at part throttle..

What confuses me is that it holds boost fine under hard accelleration, but loses it under moderate. It seems to me it should be the other way around???

It is becoming very annoying especially during normal driving conditions (like passing on the highway). Along with the flutter comes hesitation.

It's the BOV. I get the same thing with the Forge, especially since I went with the lighter spring. There seems to be no happy medium - the lighter spring helps with compressor surge, but screws you on the part throttle boost runs. When pressure equalizes in the BOV between vacume and boost, the only thing keeping the piston in place is the spring - the lighter it is, the more likely it is to chatter / flutter.

My stock BOV never had this problem - but it was leakier than the Forge on upper boost runs.
