Question Want to remove A/C?

Can someone tell me what belt i need to remove the A/C from and EVO8?
Maybe a part number for NAPA or how long it is.
I just need the belt to fit the P/S.

Thanks
BOB

Any idea if the compressor is in the way if you leave it on the car?

There should be no problem because you can run the original belt.

That would defeat the purpose of removing it.

On my Talon years ago just removing the air conditioning we picked up 10 ponies. I'm just trying to reduce the additional drag with the compressor and just bypass it.. hoping for the same result.

It is not. My ac compressor died on me and I left it on and just put the smaller belt on. The compressor was later removed, but to get the car back running quickly I initially left it in place.

You will not gain 10 hp by not spinning the compressor pulley. On a Talon you will gain 20 hp by not turning the AC on - it has been measured.
