Since you are running 30+ PSI, you'll want to preload the WG up to about 25#. This should improve turbo spoolup and midrange power significantly.

Before you toss your Red away, try this....Run a length of 4mm hose from the compressor discharge pipe's nipple directly to the port on the wastegate actuator. Increase boost by rotating the turnbuckle on the threaded end of the actuator rod. Adjust boost via this method up to about 25 PSI, or so. Now reconnect the MBC and raise boost from the 25 PSI of spring controlled boost on up the rest of the way to peak boost level with your MBC.

Thanks, I'll try this. If there is a problem with the actuator, will it make it to 25psi?

I am really not surprised at all. Big turbos are very $hitty in the lower mid range.

I went straight from the stocker to a Red. Big mistake but I knew that going in, I need alot of supporting mods to go with it.

I have absolutely no bottom end power, but the high end is crazy.

Never said I am not making power. I am at 25psi with a few more mods then that car, non-tuned and making around 375whp. But I have no torque. I mean its no drag car, it is a time attack car so I do keep it in the upper RPM's. My turbo isnt spooling until 4,500-5,000 RPMS. Sucks for daily driving in the mountains

Im waiting on new motor mounts and a new small battery then Im going to take it to Draco Performance in Cornelieus, NC. Hoping to make around 400hp conservatively. If not I am happy with the top end I am making now

So according to that article you posted the cams are torqueier? But something like S2's will give me more top end?

I am going to do a 2.3L stroker when I get the money and some head work before I do anything around 30psi with the boost. Now Im questioning that.

im sayin that my mostly stock car with just the red on pump makes great torque almost a 400/400 on pump and it hits around 3850 to 4000

I can't read your dyno sheet (way too small for my eyes)....Log boost, timing, knock , and airflow and maybe we can help you....Also, can you run more boost ???

wow- thats a huge difference...

i suggest advancing the intake cam a bit....

i to went from a grn to a red with identical w/g actuators with identical mods, but different cam timing. here is my turbo compare below.

where i was able to get some low end power was by advancing my intake cam. this helped with spool up.....

my grn went soft in the higher rpm, but since the red provides enough air for my set-up, i advanced the cams to balance out my combo of parts....

GL with dialing in your set-up

Your TQ curve does not look right - it should hit harder and sooner than what it is (on dyno)...It looks like peak TQ is at 5500 rpm and is less than what I would have guessed...

You may want to have Scott (TTP) / Mellon / Jestr look at your timing and MIVEC maps as it should be spooling a lot sooner - basically your curves look like a 35R....Good luck
