It's getting increasingly hard to get the gears into reverse and 1st gear. It's almost as if there is something blocking the gears from going in.

I literally have to "force" these gears into place.

I'm thinking the bushing?
Should I just put de-greaser on it? or change it ams/br bushing?

 

internal trans problem, bent shift fork possibly or the arm that engages and disengages the shift fork. eventually it's going to break and you'll be locked in whatever gear it breaks in.

 

that's not good to hear..Just to add, in neutral, gears go in and out fine smoothly.

It's just 1st and reverse gears that are hard to go in at place.

Anyone else who can diagnose the problem? thanx

got the same thing going on with mine right now. Recently did an exedy stage 2
4 puck clutch install. Used Royal Purple gl-4 75-90 for tranny. Gonna try to adjust the clutch when I get home.
