how to wideband?

Is their a how to on installing a wideband?
I know what i need to do and where to put it.
Just havnt really got around to getting into the dash and connecting it.

Its better to go in their knowing what ur going to run the guage off of.
Then not knowing at all.
Just curious

Just needing to know what power and ground i need to splice into.
Pics would be great.
Thanks

I almost have it all hooked up, the only thing is. I tapped it through the light dimmer. And now it will only turn on if i have my lights on. And thats not going to work.

So i need to know which wire i should tap into thats always on when the cars on.
I know the cig and clock will work. But i really dont feel like breaking anything when i take apart my console. Lol

So which wire should i tap into under the dash? Maybe someone can put a pic on here where theyv tapped their power wire.
I really dont wanna start taking apart my console cause iv never had the actual center peice out.
If i have to, can someone tell me how ? (woo turned 21 on the 21st!!! Yeahhhhhh!!!!!)

theres a wire connector on the driver side of the steering column. pull the cover off and you should see it. theres 4 or 5 wires in there(the ignition switch connector) use ur test light and find the ignition, i think its a blue wire. use that one

how does it change at night? the wideband requires a constant 12 volts. besides, the clock dims at night, not brightens

I got it!
Its the thick blue with a black strip on the side of it.
If someone is reading this, if ur looking under the dash under the sterring wheel their will be a bundle of wires. theirs all kinds of color's including a small blue with white. Thats not it. The wire is pretty much in the middle of the bundle. Thats the one (its thicker then all the other wires.)
If u need a ground, their are a ton bolted to the car under the driverside kick panel.

So i finally got around to hooking up the entire guage.
Now im having problems...
When my guage starts up it goes through the initial set up then either sits at 2.5 or is going crazy switch from afr to % shooting out numbers starting from 2.5 and going up to 7.9 then to 20.9 says "o2" goes back to doing it all over again. Then after 2 mins of going crazy, the guages goes to -.-.- and wont go back until i restart the car.... What did i do wrong? Everythings hooked up right. But it just WONT read?! WTF

Did you look at the how to tune an evo thread? they go through what afr's should be pretty good, but like it says every car may be different. they're just a basic outline
