22 psi WGA?

Does this seem legit? A 1.5 bar WGA. I thought they only made them up to 18 psi...

I have the FP with 18psi spring. Just didn't know that you could go any higher.

I don't want to mislead you, as I haven't actually researched this topic but, I think that Buschur Racing has a 22# actuator. Also, if I am not mistaken, I have been seeing recent references to a Forced Performance 25# actuator, which would be in addition to the existing 16-18# actuator. Maybe someone out there can verify the existence of an FP 25 pounder.

I thought this had been covered, and that you really didnt need to upgrade your WGA. So why were on the topic, I have been eyeballin one for some time. I am upgrading the cams, but staying with stock turbo? Any new formulations?

As noted, FP has a 25 psi actuator available now. I just installed one this week.

Wow, so people replying with confirmation of what another person said isn't helpful. Seriously, go do the research yourself if you don't want to hear people's answers...

One reply is enough. I don't need 6 people all saying the same thing... And your reply isn't helpful at all to this thread so you can stfu to begin with...

So lets ask this. THe 22psi WGA, it holds the wastegate closed until 22 psi of boost, and that is when it starts to release, or it is fully open at 22 psi?

22psi is when the wastegate will start to open.

So if I wanted to maintain 22psi to 24 psi, would I want to use this wastegate, or a 17 psi one?

Many wastegates will start to crack open before their "rated" pressure. The only way to know whether your wastegate is opening "early" is to test it yourself. You can use any regulated air pressure source, or even a bicycle pump with an accurate gauge. Put it on your WGA nipple, pump it up and find out when your wastegate actuator actually starts to move.
