How often do you change your oil on E-85

I was driving 3k miles a month and that has been cut in half. I was changing my oil every 1.5 months or 5k miles. Now that I am on e-85 I can smell it in the oil. I drag race my car at the track 2-3 times a month. How often should I change my oil now that I am on e-85???

Currently I run the Signature Series 0W-30 100% Synthetic Motor Oil
Once I put on my FP Red I will run Dominator Synthetic 10W-30 Racing Oil (RD30)
Once I build my motor I will run Dominator Synthetic 15W-50 Racing Oil (RD50)

I change mine every 3K. I run the Dominator RD30 on the Red. I've yet to smell anything in my oil though...

You shouldn't smell it in your oil. If that was the case you would see the oil level climb.

Why aren't you running 10w30 as recommend by the factory?

If you look in your owner manual it says use 0/5/10w 30

For a built block I would recommend AMSoil Dominator Synthetic 15W-50 Racing Oil (RD50)
Or AMSoil 20W-50 Synthetic Premium Protection Motor Oil

These are the oils AWD Motorsports and AMS run in their cars!

But aren't you claiming your fuel is thinning your oil? Why start even thinner?

I run rotella 5w40 syn. and change every 5-6k miles - oil analysis shows everything is good to go.

Other way around.

We tend to smell the E85 in our oil and even when you just pop the oil cap.

We stick to pretty much the same mileage however most of our cars are put to good use so we change fluids pretty frequently.

I'm still on dino 20w50.

I've been using Mobil1 15W-50 on a built motor and after 400 miles of driving I see 1/4 of a quart increase in the oil. Oil looks and smells fine.

Has anyone else noticed their oil level increase when running E85?
