possible immobilizer issue

i just did a complete rebuild on my 8 and after about 250 -300 miles a quiet tick developed from the CRANK pulley area and did some poking around and everything checked out as far as timing and the pulleys. i took it out for a drive the other day and the car just died i pulled into a parking lot and tried starting it and it would idle up to 1900 rpm or so the die. the next morning i started it and it idled normal for 5 seconds or so then died again. it is not throwing any codes what so ever. i checked the fuel system and it has plenty, then i pulled the ignition harness and it had no voltage. now with that in mind i have heard that the only things that might cause that are the crank position sensor and the cam position sensor. but wouldnt either one of those throw a code? and as of last night the car wont start . does anyone have some input as to where i might start troubleshooting? or how i would reset the immobilizer? or better yet what would have caused this?

That definitely doesn't sound like an immobilizer issue, because it would have never ran or started.

i got power back to the ignition it starts, but will not stay running so it isn't the immobilizer. someone was saying that the iat sensor could cause this to happen i will check that next if anyone has any other ideas please let me hear them.

this happened to me when i used my spare key. it would start and stay running for a lil bit then die. if i would go to start it again it would not start. if i used my regular key it would start right away n run fine. did you ever figure out what it was? im curious if it is the immobilizer because im about to do remote start
