Help: Dont have Oem Flywheel bolts (What do i use)??
Hey guys well currently im doing a clutch job on my friends evo.
well il start off by saying he fried his clutch lol, but his car had an exedy hyper single that used alen hex bolts to hold the pressure plate to the flywheel.
Well we bought a act xtreme full disc clutch kit and with this kit, it is design to use oem bolts to hold the pressure plate and flywheel together.
The problem is the alen bolts r way way to long.
My question is can i go to the store and by bolts that can fit? Or do i have to u use oem bolts.
I would admagine that these bolts would have to be a good quality because of the heat it deals with or sumthing.

Yes
If you are speaking about the fly-wheel to pressure plate bolts, then you can run bolts from the hardware store just fine, I do.
Get the highest grade in your area and please USE SOME SORT OF THREAD LOCKER (Red Loc-tite). The stock bolts have spring washers/lockers on them as well, but you'll most likely have a hard time finding bolts like that.
