FPred tried to eat my honeycomb

i ripped through 1st and 2nd gear today getting on the highway and immediately after my car started driving like crap, afr was all over the place, sputtering and didnt want to idle. I check all the obvious things and couldnt find anything wrong, decided to check the maf, so i pulled off the filter and found this.

im running the car without the honeycomb for now, and suprisingly it has caused 0 driveability problems. it still idles perfect and actually drives smoother without the honeycomb.

Just went and yanked mine out, I don't think it does anything for consistancy of air flow. Espically with my clogged airfilter.

haven't had mine on for tens of thousands of miles. No problems whatsoever...
