Question iac troubleshooting in my idle freak evo

im having problems with my evo , im using ams upper ic pipes with a brand new hks blowoff recirculating .. and if u r at a complete stop and rev the car the rpms fall like to 400 or 500 and stay there for 5 seconds , the car thries to die , then comes back up to 1000 on ruff idle ........

i tried switching blowofs , same problem
i tried tuning , same problem
i tried the screw on tb same problem
i tried the tps adjusting , same problem

can anyone tell me if they think it could be the iac 1450A069 part number..

i dont have another evo to swap parts with , and dont want to buy a 300 dollar part , with out asking

do you have a tactrix cable and laptop to pull your rom? i can adjust something in your rom and you can go ahead and test it out if it fixes your problem.

yea its blows with the QM and wanting to break in a new engine. My car also dies every now and then between shifts. Im thinking its in the tune though. If I find any one thing that stands out I will post up.

Check for boost/vac leaks. Make sure to check the throttle body seals, I just found I boost/vac leak on mine there.

Search the term IAC motor. I posted how to take out your IAC and check it for wear in an older thread. Can't find the thread from my cell phone. I am willing to bet this is part of the problem.

Do you have a boost/vacuum gauge? I had this same problem with numerous intakes. It was a lack of vacuum issue for me. Do you still have your stock rubber intake tube? (i'm assuming you have an aftermarket intake) Throw that back on w/ the filter and maf and see what your idle does. I bet it improves. My car did the same exact thing yours is doing. The car didn't have enough vacuum and would try to die at random shifts and sudden stops. Now it idles perfectly..even with the a/c on!
