modded evo no start at times

Little info on the car. In a build process for rough 8 months, built motor, fp red, aem, dual pumps, blah blah. Before the build no problems. Car was together, started np, was driven from SC to Ohio np. On the dyno, I was told there was some issue with running rough, like a cylinder not getting fuel I think. Anyways car somehow fixed itself , problem was not found. The car drove back to SC, went to the track and made several passes np. Drove car home and np, to work next day no start when left work. Next day car started np. Guy went to bring it to my house, no start. I drove to his house car started. On the way back to my house car started loosing fire ? I'm guessing cause the fuel was still there, started back firing so on. Tried starting and the relays were going nuts clicking away. It was dark and all I had was a couple screw drivers and a flashlight. Called tow truck, 20 min later car started fine, np. Towed to my house drove it for 3 days, hard and easy and car showed no signs of anything. This morning shut off on me while sitting still, sat still for bout 2 minutes and started right back up. Drove to work np, drove home, 5 min away and back firing and relays going nuts. Could not get started for bout and hour and a half.

Ok, primary fuel pump sounds rough but both pumps are brand new, not even 2k miles yet. I jumped the secondary to make sure it was not fuel related and secondary pump sounds great but car would still not start. I have checked 99.5% of everything I have done from installing the engine to practically everything in the dash. Interesting part. Hooked up the laptop to just see what the ignition was doing and hit connect and 5 minutes go by and all the screen says was offline/online/offline/ online and the relays were clicking away. I unplugged the aem and plugged it back up and bam online 2 sec and car starts right up. Drove car home and ran good np.

Maybe aem problem, it seems like there was something about a pump code that popped up on the screen when I was trying to get the ecu to connect. I have got to make this car move and soon cause the shootout is not far away and I gotta make sure its right for the drive up, and the track.

I would check two things. Check your fuel pressure regulator and check your fuel filter. I'd also hook up a fuel pressure gauge in the system if you have access to one, That should/can tell you a lot. Sounds like you may have gunk in the fuel filter to me, but it could be anything. I'd also maybe call the tuner and aem and pick their brain, but hit the easy stuff you are able to do first.
