V A / V F rods

Ok i just got some new oem rods for my 03, and i was just checking if theyre the right ones, they look identical except that the original rods have the letters V A on the sides and the new ones have the letters V F, other then that they're the same just wanted to know the difference if there is any. Thanks guys.

Id say keep saving if your going to do rods and throw in a real set like crower, manley, howard's.

Then all you need is pistons and bearings. Not to much more money if your going to go through all of it anyway just to replace stock rods with the oem rods.

Yes i know i would be better off doin a complete build with aftermarket rods and pistons and all the other goodies, but im not doin a build its just a stock rebuild no point in doin a big build when i dont plan on making anything over 350hp at the max, plus i got the rods with pistions brand new for $200 cant beat that.

So back to my original quiestion does anyone know if there is a difference in the rods, i would rather not call the dealer cuz my dealer is an idiot.

Your dealer probably cannot answer that question anyways. Are your rods bad?

Well one of them is all banged up from the piston skirt coming apart so yeah seeing as i got all 4 rods and pistons for $200 brand new, i decided to replace them all.

So back to my original question, does anyone know if there is a difference in the rods? Such as rod length, Bearing size, etc.....
