75 mm Boomba Throttle Body VS stock dyno results

Finally today we decided to solve the mystery. So far there were no published dyno results of Boomba 75 mm TB versus stock TB.
So we took our shop Evo 9 MR to AMS and we got some good news to shear with the community.
Our Evo is PURE STOCK, exactly the way it left the factory.
We tested it first with stock TB then we changed it to Boomba 75 mm (while the car was still strapped to dyno). Both pulls were done within an hour time.

We got almost 12 Hp power and 13 ft-lbs torque gain.

Thanks to AMS guys for letting us on their dyno on such a short notice.

How big was the inlet opening on the intake manifold? Was it unported?

$389 + S&H

All billet aluminum CNC machined (not a cheap casting). Holds 50 Psi of boost. Best deal on this planet.

Looks good, now tune the car on the stock tb with a TBE and mbc and do it again please . Lots of gains can be greatly exaggerated on a stock car on stock load-based boost setup. Do it on e85 too

still, looks promising.

Can you explain to me how you are getting HP gain from having a throttle body opening that is bigger than the pipe feeding it and the opening available exiting it?

I can understand the Milspec or the Buschur ported stock TB, but 75mm.... Thats just a bit over the top IMO.....

I don't doubt you will have gains over stock, because the stock TB is smaller than the ICP and the inlet to the intake manifold, but compare this to an already ported stock TB form Buschur or Milspec and let see the numbers...

Reason why is, stock tb has bottle neck. boomba is straight thru, same size all the way.

I agree that the stock one is a bottle neck because it is smaller than the inlet and the outlet of it.... aka bottle neck.... however, the ported 65mm is more than enough to over come this bottle neck for $250 so there is no need to pay $389 for the added 10mm Dia because it does you no good.

If it does Im going to go in the drinking straw business making drinking straws that start out 1/4" diameter and in the middle have a 1/2" diameter section, then go back down to a 1/4" and claim they flow more drink... Id make millions!

Something doesn't make sense here. Compare the above graph to the graph that Mil.Spec uses to advertise the gains from their 65mm TB vs. stock with a ported manifold on both (image taken right from Mil.Spec's advertising thread):
