help please

if one is doing an high power build . built block , pnp head , gt37r kit , nitrous , aem ems , cams etc etc
is it neccesary to remove the balance shafts or will they create no problem ?
my engine is being put in the car tom and the stock balance shafts are still present . will there be a problem?

Balance shaft bearings used to fail all the time in DSM's so the usual practice at overhaul was to remove the shafts. However, DSM's had plenty of problems in general. It seems that much engineering has occurred since then and balance shaft failure, judging from this list, is rare. However, having them removed means one less thing that can go wrong. Your call.
