how do you pull a front axle on a evo 8. I have broken axle and i have one piece out of the spindle. I need the other half out of the diff that i cant get out. Shouldnt it just slide out?

 

They are in there with a sort of spring ring that holds them in place. You just have to find a good place to get some leverage and pull them out. I used a big pry bar and slowly pulled on them until they came loose. Just be careful not to damage the seals., the metal surrounding them is soft.

 

Thats what i figured. I figured they would come out the same way my axles do in my irs in my cobra.
