Forge DV or stock ?

I have a Forge DV sitting in the garage and am wondering whether I should replace my metal MR DV (non-crushed) ? The reason I did not install it, was I heard of drive ability issues. I am currently spiking at ~28psi tapering to 22psi, do the MR DVs leak at those pressures? TIA

the stock does not sound nearly as cool, but drives a $h!t ton better.
I removed my RS valve and put an IX one in and runs like a dream now!

I dunno if mine leaks because no matter what i set my EBC for it bleeds to 23psi on the top end as it seems yours does too. Im gonna try crushing mine a little to see if it helps, but its likely just the turbo not able to hold boost that high

^^ Yeah I am not trying to get my boost at redline higher as I know I would just be pushing hot air, I am just wondering if I am leaking at the DV around 28 psi....Thanks

Crush your stock MR DV and you should see it hold boost better.

Put on the forge, I'll give you $50 for your stock one

jk, sell the forge, the stock IX bov is the best for a basic bolt-on car!

My particular MR DV cracked off the seat at just 11#. However, I think that it was a particularly wimpy example of the breed. At 28# there is no doubt in my mind that a stock uncrushed unit would be venting pretty good(bad!).

if you're really concerned about holding boost on a basic bolt on set up lemme ask you this: do you have an aftermarket WGA? if not i'd say run the stocker, it may leak, but drivability will be way better.
outside of that i've heard good things about tials; however, they are only VTA.
good luck, and let us know what you route you take with a bov/dv that holds boost and doesn't leak!

Am I the only one that thinks the stock recirculated BoV sounds excellent? It has a harsh pushing sound, and is very loud.

Granted I have all metal pipes from IC to intake and an open element filter - but i've never seen a recirc BoV as loud as mine is. I'm happy with it and the cars drive ability is excellent. If it leaks, that's a different story. However, i'm content.

A tial, although nice - would make you run rich as they are only VTA on a MAF equipped vehicle.

The Forge will hold boost and drive like crap at part throttle. That's all you need to know.

It takes 5 mins to install - see if you like it. I ditched my Forge for an APS and haven't looked back, holds boost and drives nice.
