What is the best single disk clutch for an evo? I had a exedy twin but was disappointed. I need one that will last with 400+ hp.

That's a lot of power. I'm guessing a clutch with a kevlar will help out a lot.

I would suggest the Stage 2+ for that extra hold. Should last a pretty long time because it's kevlar but should also drive the same as any single clutch should. Torque capacity is almost 500 and I haven't heard of any 2L engine getting more torque then HP unless it was a hardcore rally car.

I have had the MB7-HDSS for about 13,000 miles on 300+ tq. Clutch just died after my engine build and going back to the dyno to get re-tuned. Seems around 480tq it checked out on me and shredded. I will be going back with another ACT clutch disc, and using the HDG6 combo which is the Heavy Duty Pres Plate combined with the 6puck Sprung G6 disc.

No, 480tq. I am going to the 6puck next week. I am also rebuilding the tranny and transfer case just to ensure no issues in the future with the power level.
