timing issues?

timing issues?

my car run 5degree at idle and uder load it drop between -5 to -10 degree
what could be the problem
the car have very poor performance
can it be caused by a faulty knock sensor ??
any suggestion???

Could be a knock sensor. Any service engine soon light?
Any modifications to the car?

no service engine soon
45 000mi
one modification: Megan Racing Stainless steel turbo outlet pipe
all the rest are stock

well this is a stretch but that turbo outlet pipe could have raised ur boost due to better exhaust flow. If this is the case than your car may be knocking. This knock will cause ur ecu to pull timing. Either that or maybe your running some junk fuel. what octane do you use

he's using 91 octane (we dont have 93 here in qc city) and we noticed also that the engine is have anormals vibrations problably caused by the balancer shafts...

seems to be some wierd issues for a stock car. Did he buy it used? have you tried new spark plugs. Could be as simple as that

the knock map could be screwy too worth a shot or the bar on the underside hitting the the downpipe causing a false knock

sounds like plugs. while checking these, i'd also check the coils and the wires as well.

apart from the knock sensor is there could anything else delay the timing ???

brand new spark plug
i bought the car and he was not working

it has to be the computer pulling it unless somehow ur tune got changed. The reason why it would pull timing is due to knock. So now you gotta chase why you are knocking. Bad spark, to lean, to rich, to much timing advance, bad fuel, etc.... u gotta get a tactrix cable and a laptop and see how many degrees of timing it wants and how many it is actually running. Also how many counts of knock
