Sounds like what happened to Rob when the crank position sensor plate was installed upside down. So the car would spark and get fuel but was firing at the wrong time so it wouldn't start without gassing it and then die.

I'm not sure if the cam angle sensor can do the same thing someone else may know though.

is it crank no start, no crank, extended crank, can it start after sitting, does it backfire, is the check engine light on? if you want a free diagnosis, you gotta have more info. otherwise, its off to a shop you go!

What about the cam sensor was the metal piece inside it moved when installed or was it previously installed before the car died?

Anything else you can tell us about the system like ignition amps etc?

go to autozone or ebay and buy a code scanner so you can tell us the problems the car has. its really hard to guess at problems. the CEL is on which means you definately have problems, so its pretty simple to start there.

if the car was running and now doesn't run, and you have spark and fuel, i would be checking compression because those are the only 3 things you need to make your motor go.

I think i had this same problem. Keep cranking it bro. Mine just stoped starting. had everything hooked up, and would spit fuel but not crank (just like your Problem)
next time get a full charge battery, next time you crank it, just hold it for a bit longer then normal. Should start after that.
I went 2 weeks before i figured it out.
Also running PFC
