WTF.. Brand new Exedy Triple Disk Slipping?
Alright I just got my car back about 2 months ago with a brand new exedy triple disk installed, and the car has been driving like crap due to a few sensor issues, blah blah blah basically I'm just saying that I didn't drive the car hard AT ALL for the past 2 months.. I have 1600 Miles on the clutch, 95% are highway miles to and from school..
Fast forward to this past monday, Got my sensor issues fixed 100%, car is running AMAZING, did a few pulls with absolutely ZERO issues, car daily drives like a DREAM..
Again, Fast forward to today.. I'm driving to mitsubishi today to pick up a couple lug nuts, I'm getting on the highway and I was getting into boost in 5th gear when I hit about 6K RPMS the car just REVed like crazy to 8k, so I left off and shifted to 6th. I was hoping it was just a fluke.. I get off the Highway and I wanted to test my theory of my clutch slipping, I got on it in second gear, again the car hit 6K RPMS and the motor just reved to 8K RPMS

I'm seriously like two seconds away from selling the car simply because I keep having the dumbest ****ing problems that prevent me from enjoying my car. I had plans to hit the track tonight, now I'm debating even going because I wont even be able to run the damn car......
WTF Could this be? Anyone have any similar experiences to this? The clutch has never been launched, and like I said only daily driven, practically all highway miles..

wondering if maybe some sort of fluids/oil/tranny fluid or something is getting on the discs?
I very highly doubt you are over powering that thing.
And the triples are carbon right? If you get them discs hott they just grip more. so my bet is something leaking on them or install error.

PS I'm basically just looking to see if anyone has had similar issues with the clutch, or any similar issue to this, and what their solution was ! Thanks

I have the push style. Originally I had the twin disk and rebuilt it to be a triple. This thing is noisy as hell when you press in the clutch, makes some noise under deceleration too. At least it holds all the power. The twin only lasted about 6 months with only about 10 launches on it.
We had to do that back in the day, but it was regular coke. It got it us out of the pits and we finished the race, but a huge mess to clean up after
.
To the OP if the fluid levels are good, it might be glazed.
