since nobody mentioned this before to me and to help others out..

There is a C clip with notchs cut out in it that the fingers of the wedge collar push into.
take a snap ring pliers and pull it out. it will release the TOB.

that is if your having the same issues i was with a mangled collar inside

Is it just me or does this make absolutely no freaking sense?

Sorry I want to know how did you get the pressure plate off while the tranny is off on the ground. I am having issue taking it off still. Is there a way to cut the tob off to make it easier

you have two options, first seperated the wedge collar, if you cant then taking pressure plate bolts is another way. Thats it, but ye that wedge collar is a pain in the *** sometimes

i had the same problem..seems pretty common...once i got the tranny out and on the ground i used my cutting wheel and jus cut all the pressure plate fingers off...make sure you tape off any bearings tho so that no metal gets into them

i dont like evos layout of the drivetrain in general.. so difficult to do clean job withou a car lift. Oh well gotta pay to play. I just pulled the whole engine out to do the cluch because i know how much pain it is to get them seperated...

i did this yesterday the TOB is simple to release...one person pull the fork the other wedge the long flathead in between the TOB and the Clip and turn the flathead and POP! its not hard it just takes some messing around with...but if yall really want to go through the trouble of taking the 6 bolts out through a little A** hole it will work too....have fun!!

Ive done two of these clutch jobs so far. The first time I did it was the worst pain in the *** and couldnt get it to unclip after hours of trying. Had to do via PP bolts. Second time around I was doing a different clutch job, it took all of 30 sec to unclip it.

did the aftermarket PP not come with a new one?....id try it!Try fitting it before you bolt anything up and pop the TOB in and see if it works on the bench before you bolt anything to the flywheel
