JIC CAT back smaller than 3 inch!!!!

Does the JIC exhaust bottleneck down and get a smaller diameter right before the flange that connects to the stock cat? Wouldnt this mean its not 3 inches anymore? WHen i look at the pictures it shows that it does get smaller? Does the jic downpipe also replace the cat and do they make the 3 inch yet?

I have the JIC Spartan DE Type 2 and I don't recall any necking down to meet the diameter of the cat. It does however narrow down inside the resonator and inside the muffler...

i would think most aftermarkert exhaust systems which are 3 in. would have to, considering the diameter of the cat opening isn't 3in. My RS-R system necks down about an inch b4 the flange.

Exactly - the flange where it bolts to the exhaust is a bit less than 3 inch, as it needs to bolt to your cat...has aboslutely no effect on power, spool, etc at all
