Had it back in for the 2nd gear grind. EVO Mechanic at Global on Rt 22 NJ (Gus, super nice guy) said he could not get it to grind. I take him for a ride and nail 2nd gear seven times with absolutely no grinding. I can't beleive it. Only thing I can think of is it does not seem to do it when the car is cold or it is cold out?? (which would be opposite of what it should do, my old talon tranny only ground 2nd when it was cold). Yesterday morning was the first time I had driven it in 40 degree weather and the last time I picked it up, it did not grind the first 3 times I tried it. Gus said he would happily fix it if he could get a repeatable problem. Guess I'll have to wait till spring to find out for sure. Otherwise, the car rocks and is a lot faster in the cold weather :-).
