I think there was a little knock involved. I was at the track when it happened. I was running on pump gas and there wasn't as much effort put into the pump gas tune since I rarely push my car on the street and most of the time I'm at the track I'm on 110.

What rpm do you think the PTE 6765 would be fully boosted at on a 2.3?

Yeah, my dream engine is a high-compression, TS HTA 3586 TS, 2.3 motor. It should get you to the target numbers that you seek. Since you already have the 3582, then the upgrade should be relatively painless.

Does anyone know if the 6765 will fit in the stock location between the radiator and the block? or am I gonna need to get an FF kit?

I'm ordering some 1200cc injectors and a twin walbro fuel pump setup that should be plenty of fuel.

A 6765 will drop right in to the kit you have with ZERO changes. I would however do a 6262 and be happy with that. The spool will rock and the power will be insane. I have revved my standard rod 2.4l to 10K on occassion and it hits 8500 whenever it is at full tilt and it is fine. It does have the big MF'in pauter machine rods in it though. Talk about clearancing the block!!! It is clearanced a lot more than a 63 block with a 100mm crank to fit those x-beams in there.

yeah I'm starting to think the 6262 would be better... I just really wanted the 6765. If the 6765 were full boosted between 5 and 5.5k on pump gas I wouldn't care how big it was. I don't push my car on the street just at the track. what kind of numbers would be possible with the 6262? is my goal of 600 on pump and 750 on race gas possible with that turbo?

I would go 6262 or 6235. 6235 will make same power as 6262 with better spool. Uses 35r exhaust wheel. Should be able to make 550 on pump and over 700 on race gas. 2.3 will spool nice. Im building a 2.0L right now for use with a 6235.

the HTA 3586 is what you want, spool quicker than 6765 and still get you to your goal with good supporting mods.

I'm thinking the 6262 will be better. its cheaper and will get me to my goal while still being decently streetable with good spool. plus it'll drop right in with no modification to the DTM custom kit I have
