No never put ARP mains or rod bolts in with out honeing/boring of the hole as the ARP will distort the holes and your bearings will spin, It looks like you have enough problems

Oh, I could not tell from the pics what exactly was damaged other than the head and it looks like a flywheel bolt backed out.

you may need to repair the threads on the end of the crank where that flywheel bolt once resided as well,good luck

so now.. continuing the list lol

i need...

new valves lol
new head
pistons
oil pan
this aluminum plate lol
possibly a new clutch since the flywheel bolt was chillin.?
flywheel possibly?
pressure plate?
hmm.. anything else lol
oh, timing belt haha.
once again..

F- this CAR!!!
oh, and the stupid 0-ring they forgot to replace..
possibly new crank.

just get a used long block, avoid all the headaches of rebuilding that one

As long as the block is OK and no major parts are damaged. I wouldn't even consider a used longblock. You never know what you're getting into. You could end up with these or similar problems all over again. At least with this motor, you'll know exactly what the deal is.

its always nice to see some ladys get there hands dirty. but forget the used block BR stage 3 all day. if you need a head i have a used core laying around. just pm me

the block is fine. and i heard the head is repairable.

Well, I'd be taking a long hard look at the pistons. They could be okay. And if that is the case it simplifies things considerably.
