Help with Avid motormounts

Hello everyone,

First, I would like to thank Slowboy Racing and Avid Racing for hooking me up with some sick motormounts (street) and for their customer service. Great price and fast shipping!!!

I received the motormounts today and they came with a packet including a machined aluminum piece, 4 bolts, and 4 washers, but no install instructions. Has anyone here bought them and know exactly where these "extra" parts go? If anyone here can help me out, it would be great! All I know is, is that the parts go with the trans side mount.

Thanks in advance,

Rob

i bought the same thing from them. you have to pull the studs out of the tranny, and use the bolts included.

if you go to:

and if you're looking at the black set, its the smallest piece, at the top left of the picture.

I think that is the mount for the rear diff. I wouldn't install all those mounts at once, you're car is gonna vibrate and shudder like you would believe.

actually I think that is part of the rear motor mount. It goes with the one to the right of it. I cant think of anywhere that would go on the rear diff.

i emailed avid racing for the instructions, they replied saying its similar to installing the oem's, but the trans mount is a little thicker than oem and they mentioned that its part of the tranny side mount, but i don't know where it would go, which side of the mount...i only got the street version (all of those minus the mount that's at the top right)

the little part goes to the side tranny mount due to the fact that the OEM mount mounts at 2 different heights and that piece is need for the avid mount because it is flat and the longer studs are needed because of that spacer.

i'm assuming that the little part goes above the tranny mount? when i look at the tranny mount on its side, its not flat, theres a little height difference...

nope the spacer goes below the side of the tranny mount where the 2 bolt holes are closer together. i don't remember right or left.

it goes below the tranny side mount, towards the rear side (closer to the shifter linkage). you have to pull all the studs out, and use the provided bolts cause the billet piece is a lot thicker so the stock studs aren't long enough.
