Sorry my friend, but they are about to stick it to ya, and I am talking the oh so gay way!!! their are alot of people fighting it some legally, don't let them push you around or bend you over.

you need to flip mode and stick it to them, And stick it to them hard enough that it satisfies all of us who have lost a clutch.

sorry, goodluck

No if I pressed on the gas more than a inch or so it will rev to redline then grab it was horrible I'm definately going to get new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel and if not all hell is going to break loose I was wired today when I got to the dealership I was just waiting for them to say somthing I didn't like.

I test drove an Evo - it had four miles on it. When I got on the freeway, I accelerated under full throttle to about 100mph. After I merged with traffic and got down to the speed of traffic, i smelt burnt clutch. At the time I thought maybe the brakes where stuck or something - it was just sooo odd to drive a BRAND NEW car and have the clutch slip.

I didn't shift the car unusually hard or drive it beyond its intended use.
IMO, the Evo clutch is insufficient for the car. ie. Defective.

I don't know what Mitsu's done to solve this problem, but Mitsu should do the right thing, and recall the clutch.

wierd 15K and counting on stock clutch hope its last to next year. They claim 30K plus on the clutch. Yours sounds like something went wrong they should cover it.

I am actually hoping y clutch will go soon, I want an Exaddy Twin plate, that alone will increase performance all around.

Mine has 12,000 on it, good as new.

I'm guessing bad design that needs to be improved. So many people lost their clutch including mine at 8k. If you drive 11,300 mi mostly on hiways you probably wouldn't have to worry about it. I'm guessing it's the city people that wears out their clutch before 20k miles.

2 track days, 10 AutoX's, 1 drag day (4 trips down the track), 6700 miles and clutch still feels great. No problems here.

Still have the restrictor and factory clutch line.

Sean Hall, your assertions that the clutch is weak and unsuitable for the car are not very well founded. Consider that you drove a car that was BRAND NEW (i.e. the clutch disk was never really used and hadn't broken in) and that you probably were not used to the clutch feel/engagement. I'd guesstimate that more than 95% of Evo owners have not had a clutch issue yet.

Your statement is akin to driving a car with brand new brakes, standing on them from 60-0mph relatively hard, then smelling brakes and wondering, "Damn, these brand new brakes are already smelly!".
