lost all spark! help

so while driving my car (05 mr) stopped running on the way down the highway. come to find out i lost all spark . checked every fuse and relay. does anyone have any other good places to check? i dont think both coil packs would go out at the same time but who knows. please help any input will help

check the cam or crank angle sensor

or check ur ecu

i would definately start at the crank angle sensor ohm it at the plug the red and blue pin should ohm to like 5 or 6 ohms. i just had this same issue and there is a thread in this section i posted that goes into good detail on it. its titled p0335 issue

check the electric connector plugs on both sides make sure their tight also

Did you check the fuses under the dash? I know you said you checked for *every* fuse, but there s one under the dash, I believe a 5-amp that will kill the spark only on the Evo's. I know because it eluded me for a few days while trying to get the car started. (Didn't work on it very hard, hence the few days it took for me to "find" it..)

The other sensors you want to check are:

1. Crank Angle Position Sensor
2. Cam Angle Position Sensor
3. Coolant Temp (I believe plays a part as well, think I remember reading that in FSM)

That's all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment..

Just make sure to check the fuses under your dash if you haven't already..

it would be the number 1 fuse under the dash (top left corner).

thanks ill will check the crank n cam sensors tonight after work...... what about the ohm reading for the cam sensor?
