I see, how long does it normally hold up?

My intentions for my rs is to track it and drive it around the streets, but not so much. I have never tracked before so i just want a full tbe, good suspension done by muller and a tune to start off my tracking experiences. Eventually as i learn more as i go, i am definitely adding more power.

Yes 20,000 on a QM seem about the limit. I actually saw a stock evo clutch put down 500whp ! The guy had it in his car for 2 months before he went to a twin disc (not due to failure) I was totally shocked.

How old is your QM? They changed the design a little while back . It is a lot quieter not as quiet as the exedy but really close

I have had my ACT HDSS for almost a year and i run it about 2-3 weekends out of the month i got Approx 330AWHP on DLL. Zero issues *knock on wood*
Do they last longer than the quartermaster clutch?

You should be able to go into gears with the engine turned off. Then press in the clutch pedal to allow the car to start while in gear to get the car rolling and drive it into the garage then turn it off. Make sure your Turbo timer if you have one is off and if needed just jam the brakes to stakk the car to stop it so you dont run it out the back of the garage.

if the clutch doesnt disengage you cant start it in gear. the car will just lunge forward off the starter. sounds like you need to call some friends over to help push it in there.

Exedy HD also, no lockout issues, holding my power like a champ. I went that route just because I heard of people having lockout issues with the ACTs. Had a similar problem with my Honda, decided I didn't want to make a mistake with the Evo. Many people have not had problems, and you definitely need to pick the correct combo of the ACT to prevent these lockout issues. I just didn't want to take a chance, spend a little money up front and prevent a headache later. Exedy Twin HD FTW!

Hope you figure the problem out. I'm having one small issue that after leaving the car sitting overnight the clutch pedal will be down around the floor and I have to manually pull the clutch pedal up to the top and then it works fine...I'm also selling a freshly rebuilt Spec custom built Super twin disc clutch setup...perfect for what you're looking for. The clutch had 1k miles on it when I had it freshly rebuilt w/custom discs etc..

Are you serious? If you crank on it the car will lunge forward and then when the motor fires it will run in gear, but you cant stop while the motor is running since the clutch wont disengage. I have driven a car that had a clutch hydraulic issue like this from center city Philadelphia to a Saturn dealer north of the city by starting in gear and shifting without using the clutch. It isnt hard but if you do it wrong you can damage a lot of stuff. I also drove my EVO for about 50miles when the hydraulics on my Twin Disk PTT clutch (tilton HRB) went out as well. Dont tell me you cant do something you have no clue about.
