Hard to shift question...

Hi,.. im going to replace my clutch with quartermasters or competition clutch (twin disk)

but right now i have a problem with my clutch and i want solve the problem before change the clutch... its a personal goal..

when i bought my evo come with stock clutch.. and i never had any problem on wot shifts... one day i burned my clutch and i get an ACT Clutch...

i install act clutch with gruppe-s flywheel, gruppe-s steel clutch line, and amsoil tranny oil, now i have royal purple max-gear...

i bleed my clutch line and adjust the pedal... but after the ACT installation i lost my butter shifts... i have alot problems on 4th gear wot shift.... not lock out, not grind.. only i can´t go to 4th gear if i made the shift quickly.. i can go in any gear but is very hard... with the stock clutch every gear was like a butter....

do you think is adjust problem, slave cylnder problem, bleed problem or fluid problem???

the clutch works excellent, never slip.. but im tired to fail gears on races...

thanks!!!

None of the above. How about a heavy clutch.

The mini-twins have far less inertia, and you can shift faster. But they are noisy and are more "on/off" in nature.

I heard of many problems like this with this clutch, you should of gone with an Exedy twin. Thats all I used cause it was the best for me, I was pushing 470.

ACT clutches are known to have this problem. New clutch should fix it.

well, ive looked arround a bit. when i switched to amsoil, i used the gl5. i was told that it was ok, but now im finding here on evom that you shouldnt use the gl5, only gl4. so imma switch to gl4 and see how it does. i do have a feeling a new clutch is not too far down the road :/
