Machinists please look here.. flywheel question

do evo 9 fly wheels need 2 cuts( one after u pull the ring gear off) or do you just cut the surface where the clutch is , i know vw's need 2 cuts, pulling the clutch and cutting the flywheel soon. dont wanna wait till the last second to find out

All you have to do is pull the pins and cut it once. It is a flat flywheel no steps and it is straight forward. The EVO flywheels do tend to warp though so you may need a new one if yours is warps. The pins are a ***** to get out and if it is warped it is almost impossible to get them out. Also it is a very hard metal so it take slonger to cut so my machine shop charges me extra to cut one. It is almost worth it just to buy a new one from the door and avoid the headaches.

ahh the step. my new machine shop I work at we dont do flywheels like the other one(2 years ago) the step.lol. nice. shouldnt be that bad.
